Granny does not feel old. She is still active and feels comfortable in her apartment. However, her children and grandchildren live in another city and only visit on weekends. Approximately one third of all people over the age of 65 fall each year. This leads to serious injuries in 5-10% of these cases. So what if Granny falls and she cannot get up to call for help? Granny's Safe provides a solution that helps to identify when Granny has fallen while preserving her privacy and independece. The usage of electricity and water is monitored to identify anomalies in Granny's behavior. In case of an emergency, her loved ones are contacted so that they can check on her.
